...so I didn't win the french connection blogtails contest that I asked all my "friends" and loved ones to support and vote for me. I came in second. But as Ricky Bobby in Talledega Nights says, "If you're not first, then your last".

In other random Misha news, I bought a pair of 4.5in Pour La Victoire gray flannel boots for winter that are SUPER comfy and make me feel like I'm super model tall status. Get em' here if you like. These have everyday wear potential.

Of course I was drawn to the color of these two pieces. The necklace screams tribal which is a big Spring trend this season. It'll be a good way to introduce some color. The earrings... well I just liked them so I bought them. Cute right? Both necklace and earring cost $4 total.

...thrift shopping adventures (lackluster)

Woke up this morning and went for a visit to my local thrift shop this morning. Eh, this trip didn't spark any great buys. I did find an old "vintage" United Colors of Bennetton color block sweater that was awesome, but I passed on it. It WAY too big for me. But I did walk away with this little navy blue topper that I loved for $4. Spring is on it's way, but I'll be sure to get much wear out of it until then. :-) I think I'll jazz it up a bit. Stay tuned to see if I actually do and how.

...thrift shopping adventures

Scored this sequined top while thrifting this morning for $10...love it! The beading and sequins work is well done, not like much of the sequins work you see in today's garments. It has some old soul in it, and I love the element of shine and boldness with all the colors. It's definitely me. It's shiny. It's bright. It's colorful. It's fun in a wear your grandmother's clothes type of way. It's a size 10. Yes, and a size 10 I am clearly not. Wondering how I'll wear this one? Hmmmm. We'll see.
