...may integrity protect me

...taken from today's daily word.

Integrity may not seem like a big deal now, but your lack of it will have far-reaching consequences. Integrity means keeping commitments, even though the circumstances in which you made them have changed.

...when Integrity is the referee, your lips and your life will be in agreement. Your beliefs will be mirrored by your behavior. There will be no discrepancy between what you appear to be and what you are, whether in good times or bad.

Integrity is not only the referee between opposing value systems, its the decision maker between being at peace and being fragmented within. It frees you to become a whole person no matter what comes your way.

People's minds are changed through observation, not argument. People do what people see. What they hear, they understand; what they see, they believe and follow.
I definitely know a few people lacking Integrity, BIGTIME.

...if you have to cry

"Sometimes,if not most of the times, you find out who you are by figuring out who and what you are not."
I purchased this book weeks ago and just started reading it. Shame on me right. Eh. When you buy as many fashion magazines as I do and actually sit and read through them, sometimes it's hard to find the time to pick up a book and read it. Well this one kept starring at me. Finally I said, Mish, put the damn book in that bag and read it on the train. Of course I had to take the book jacket off. Random thought: I like when people don't know what I'm reading.

In all that my life is encompassing right now, emotionally, physically, career wise, I couldn't have started reading this at a more perfect time. So far, it's very inspiring for me. Kelly Cutrone's no holds barred attitude towards life and following your dreams is definitely right on cue. I scanned a two pages so you can see share what I'm talking about.

...it's the fit & the twist

While flipping through my March issue of W Magazine, I stopped at this page. I had to scan and share it. Why? Come on, this Burberry lilac trench is to die for! You don't agree? It gave me the same feeling as when I first saw this Burberry creation.

What I love most about it...the fit on this model is perfection. When a garment fits perfectly, it takes the look to a whole other level beyond the garment itself. And let's not down play the updated twist to the trench. I just love the pleating detail on the shoulder. Burberry has taken a classic and reincarnated it into something worthy of a fab chick.

Now that's what I call a trench! I'll be needing to update my current trench coat selection ASAP, especially with the weather on the verge of breaking. If you didn't know, a trench coat it's a must have piece in every chicks closet. Read why here.

...cherish the day

...I first listen to this woman's music. Love this woman right here, and this cover just further plunges me in love with her. Sade is definetly a FAB CHICK. This cover just makes me wonder what I'll look like at 50+ years old. Sheesh. Can you say classic beauty?

Thanks Christina for posting this one. I'm waiting for it to hit newsstands just for the cover sake since Ebony is not my choice of reading material on a regular.

...a little reading

Went to borders and spent $40+ bucks on some reading material. Of course I had to pick up the new issues of a few fashion mags I didn't have yet. Not to mention the latest Italian Vogue. I can't read Italian and it doesn't matter, I can read fashion. Plus, I've been wanting to read Kelly Cutrone's "If You Have To Cry, Go Outside." I've heard good things about it. She's an interesting woman and I'm intrigue by interesting women in the fashion industry. Let's see what she had to say.
